Part-4 of the ‘Specifications for Bottles & Jars’ combines all of the quality specifications featured in Parts 1 to 3 of the series. The comprehensive list of specifications covers those aspects of container-quality that are most relevant to FOOD and BEVERAGE manufacturers filling in glass containers.

For businesses looking to have their glass containers manufactured offshore, the specifications will provide a critical part of any manufacturing agreement (and should be provided to the glass manufacturer as minimum quality requirements for the glass containers). Part-4 of the series will also serve as a valuable Quality Reference document in the Quality-Assurance laboratories of food and beverage manufacturers.

The specifications covered in Part-4 of the Quality-Specifications series have been derived from some of the top glass-manufacturing facilities worldwide. A number of well-established glass manufacturers in China, Asia and the Middle East have also been consulted. With most specifications, recommended testing-frequencies have also been included. Where testing frequencies in certain regions (e.g. China/Asia) were found to be more frequent than those of established Western glass manufacturers, the higher frequencies have been retained for those specific geographic regions (and have been itemised separately for clarity). Therefore, whilst the GPC specification documents have been designed to assist food/beverage manufacturers purchase their glass requirements offshore, the specifications are equally applicable to locally-manufactured (western) ware (and therefore provide a valuable reference document to ALL food & beverage manufacturers filling in glass containers).

NOTE: The ‘Specifications for Bottles and Jars’ documents have been designed specifically for food & beverage manufacturers who are considering sourcing their glass containers from China, Taiwan, Asia or the Middle East. The documents will ensure offshore glass manufacturers have a clear understanding of the quality requirements expected from Western customers, and as such form a critical part of any manufacturing agreement. The documents can be downloaded individually (Parts 1 to 3), or as a single comprehensive document (Part-4). Food & Beverage manufacturers (and Glass Manufacturers) also have the option to purchase Part-4 in a 'Premium QC Edition'. This premium 'Specifications Manual' is a professionally assembled 'hard-cover' edition printed in full colour on high quality paper, designed for the QC laboratories of Food and Beverage manufacturers, and Glass Manufacturers. The Manuals are forwarded to the requesting companies via air-post or courier.
